Do turbo cars in Extreme Street have to run mufflers? I assume that by the wording, YES, they do, but just want to make sure.

How far back in the car does the exhaust have to run? Similar class standard of 12" behind centerline of front wheel?

That's a grey area. In the past we have allowed turbo cars without a muffler. I can't see making a turbo car required to have a muffler. In the past it wasn't required to have a muffler.

All cars in a class called " srteet" should have mufflers. If not, it'll end up like Koth, pro mods with 2" of stock frame rails left on em. JMO.
Lets keep heads up street cars on a street diet. That way we can have fun for many years to come. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander!

I'm lookin to run with you guys a little this year and was wanting an answer on this issue. It's a $100 for a muffler which is nothing I know but I don't have one and didn't want to drive 180 miles just to be told that that is what makes my car illegal.

The rules said at one time mufflers are not required on turbos cars but the exhaust must exit behind the front tire. We will get that back in there like it was 3 or 4 years ago.

I appreciate it. I don't care either way it just seemed pointless to make me spend money just to be spending it. I've alreay got a muffler if you count the turbo housing right.

I got tired of messing with those darn bottles so I though I would give this a try. Probably spend just as much time messing with ice now. Always somethin.
