Just so I am clear, a factory block turbo small block car must weigh how much? 3100 or 3300? Thanks

Yeah, funny you say that, the turbo shop has said " the rules look like they were written by a nitrous guy." They should allow 80mm hairdryers.

well I just got mine running last weekend with the 76 im going to try to make the sep. race but how knows. You have to run afew races to see how it works before you can complain. hell I'd be happy with an air to water, I dont want to have to buy another turbo.

True, the turbo I will run is only 75mm and I have no plans to change that. I will be lucky to get down the track by next year at the rate I am going.

You could buy another turbo for what the air-to-water upgrade will cost. You certainly have the hookup to make the change when he has time (forty years). TTT5 should change something because the rules in TS are bias against turbos. Josh ran two different 76mm turbos 2 years ago and could not compete and he gave it a good honest effort. The same two keep winning in TS and I thought if the same people kept winning rules are to be changed. That is comments I have read on this board!

Has there been any talk of a rules change to allow a bigger turbo? I'm planning a turbo set up on a small block chevy myself and have my fingers crossed for a 80mm turbo in TS.

You're going to have to run a full season with the currrent rules, before they will consider a rule change. it's been a couple years since a turbo car ran a whole season in TS.

Exactly, no one has ran in T/S yet with the new addition of C02 - I am probably one the single biggest advocates of turbos on here and as much as I'd like to see a rule change in our favor - we've yet to give a good setup car a honest try. Chris' car will probably be the next one in line.

A while back I worked on a turbo car that met the rules, and I think it could have been a competitor - but the owner chose a different route and didn't keep the 76. If anything happens, I'd bet a weight reduction is in order, I just don't see a bigger turbo bieng allowed, but who knows - it can happen.
