Most winning cars run in the 5.70s -5.90s. An occasional 5.6 pass if weather and conditions are right.
Quickest 8 race. Usually see anywhere between 10-18 cars show up.
It is Texas Raceway in Kennedale. Look forward to seeing you there. BTW, what do you have? |

| I have a 72 pontiac LeMans. Running a true poncho motor 455ci.A small shot of saucola and it fits the rules REALLY well. The only thing i would have to change is the dominator. Which sucks cause i drive this car all over oklahoma with this dominator, but hey, rules are rules. |

Yeah, I've got a dominator intake too and had to get an adapter and flip it over and drill out the carb stud holes to allow it to bolt to the intake. BTW, I have a slightly modified 428 in an AMC Gremlin I used to drive on the street. It would run high 11s and low 12s through the mufflers, with a cast iron intake and a 725 Q-Jet. That was in the late 80s though. The car is under an undisclosed dust experiment for now |

For the records there has been only ONE 5.6 pass in T/S competition. Roy did it with a 5.62 I believe. I don't think that will make it through this season though, I'd expect to see a few of them.
Like AR mentioned, it normally takes a low 5.80 to make it to the finals and a good 5.7 to win. I think the entire field is in the 5's now or they have been... I can't wait for racing to start! |

| I think Roy ran a 5.67 the last race of 2005. I think 5.70's will still be the top of the class this year. I'm headin arlington to the chassis dyno saturday to see it I can get it lined out. |

yeah, that's exactly what it is. It was EXPENSIVE though. I think it was about 300$ for the billet base plate only! He also has the adaptor he was talkinga about, it's a 2" adaptor that he cut the center 1" or so out of, to make it fit under the hood. |
