| I know on the old board there was talk of maybe an additional class for the slow guys. Is this idea dead or is there still a chance of something happening? |

| Sure would be nice. I can't run with the big dogs. Need something in the 6.50 range to be competitive. |

| Yes, we are working on a 6.50 index class with a minimum MPH. It won't be at TXR because of the time restraint. So we are looking to do it at our Saturday races. My company, "Geer and Sons Total Turf Care" will be sponsoring it. It will have a small payout for the winner and trophies for winner and r-up. The rules will be simple. No throttle stops or delay boxes. No stickered up cars. Any decals will be limited to rear glass. No backhalf cars. Any drag radial or cheater street slick allowed. Non drag radial tires will not be allowed, i.e., street radials. I'm thinking the minimum MPH will be 99 MPH, mabe 100, not sure yet on that one. What that means is, if you cross the traps at less than the minimum MPH, you loose. The minimum MPH will help eliminate sandbagging and sliding the breaks at the finish line. We will draw names out of a hat to set the ladder. Entry fee will probably be $15 or $20 with all entry money going to winner and r-up @ 70/30 split. |

I don't see any reason to have power adder restrictions since it's a 6.50 break out class. |

Well they have not agreed to it yet so it could still not happen. It was brought up before and eventually shot down. Who knows if it will ever happen. |

What got shot down before was a non breakout, open ET class. It was going to be too close to True Street, so it got shot down. This will be a 6.50 breakout class and it is going to happen at our Saturday races. I will post all the details when they are finished. Unc |

If the rules are kept simple to the 6.50 et breakout, drag radials then I am in. The first initial set of rules were geared to a certain car build that would left me and others non competitive due to the maximum turbo size, factory ECM and the minimum weight I would have to be at would leave me to a stripped down shell to make it at least competitive with the smaller turbo. Since it's not going to be an open ET class, there won't be a need for very many rules. There will not be any weight restrictions in this class. It will be a DOT tire class geared towards street cars. I think I posted the preliminary rules in this thread. |
