It blew the tire off on the hit then I got back on it when I did this it went staright up hit the back bumper then lifted the back tires off the ground about 5" then slamed down. Final result bent the frame, busted the oil pan, boroke the motor mounts, and bent the control arms.

Nope I have a set in the floor that have about 8 passes on them i need to sell. I looked at the car more and I have to buy a new set or radials though. Guess when the car came down the inside of the wheel well cut big chunks out of the tires. Will be going to the body shop this week to get the frame checked |

My cars not ready for testing yet, but i know it will drag the bumper too. I don't understand why the powers at be keep allowing these cars that are getting so hard to find parts for get torn up. WHEELIE BARS ARE NOT A PERFORMANCE INHANCER BUT ARE A SAFTY DEVICE! I will have about $30,000 grand in my car when it's done and if it stands up it will have wheelie bars on it the next time in comes out . If the TT10.5 org. doesn't allow it then I will just not race with this org. I started my car about a yr. ago and thought it would cost about half what I am know paying. The cost has gone up on everything that has to do with this sport and some of these cars are get very hard to find! Just adding wheelie bars (nothing else) will save alot of money, time, and headacks, and maybe someone's life! Just my opinion. |

Wheelie bars in TS probably won't happen. If you want to run wheelie bars you can run Extreme Street. Or do like AR said, put some limiters on the car and some double adjustable front shocks. In most cases that fixes the problem. TS has always been a class where the best chassis tuner and power management tuner is usually the front runner of the class, not who makes the most power. |

I think a lot of guys would argue the fact that wheelie bars aren't a performance enhancer. Lots of cars use them to steer the car straight down the track while the front wheels are in the air. That's definitely a suspension tuning advantage. Plus, with travel limiters, double adjustable shocks, different spring ratios, programmable ignition systems, and the like there are plenty of ways to keep the car from star hunting without wheelie bars. Here is a small tech article to help explain what I mean. Doesn't get too "techy" but makes a few simple statements about bars. www.dragstuff.com/techarticles/PB-wheeliebars.html I like the idea of not having them, it keeps the cars looking more like "TRUE" street cars, which to me is the total appeal of the class. That's why I still have factory carpet, sound deadener, full back seat, door panels, window cranks, antenna, windshield wipers, glass windshield, steel cowl hood and all that stuff on my car. |

I hear what you are saying beleave me! Comeing from a faster car the set up is a lot differant. (a full chissis car) But the best laid plans don't always work! Remember the end of 2006. I do and so do the guy's that hurt there cars. You know all it takes is once! Besides what wrong with a short set of bracket class type of wheelie bar? Just a thought. Oh' if your driving your car with the wheelie bars, your set-up is WRONG! |
