The board is quiet, don't know why more folks aren't posting like they used to. I hope to FINALLY have heads back this weekend to get my motor together...maybe I'll be running by the Motorplex race I'm ready to tear something else up so I can spend more money...gotta love it! |

All I have left to do is finish installing the new vacuum pump assembly and I don't know when, or if I'm going to get time to do it before the next race. So I may not make it back out till July 12th at North Star, that's if I'm lucky, and I'm not a very lucky person, so it may be August. I have found it's a lot cheaper to go watch because the last several races for me the results are the same whether I have a car or not, the only difference is showing up without my car is cheaper.

Did a certain showvelle tone a few whiners down? Evidently there is quite a bit of whining going on behind the scenes of EXTREME!!! I vote we take wheelie bars out and everyone go to driving school!! I also vote that we tech each others cars (like at Denton) and if anyone wants to protest that someones car be inspected for rule violation said person must put up $$ amount and will be forfieted to suspected violater if found within rules. If found violating rules.....well....we all know what happens then. (stoning or something of the sort)

Man you are setting the bar a little high.Well their should be some intresting response to that.If the bars come of you might go over backwards if you do anotheir wheel stand like the one at kennedale. So who is going to win EXTREME at the next race |

My chevelle has never had wheelie bars, a nitrous glitch has been causing my enourmous wheel stands, and still driving through it. I won the Denton race and to my knowledge was the only car without wheelie bars, as well as the 2nd fastest time of the night. ON STOCK SUSPENSION-CHEVELLE STYLE!!!

Chip, I don't have much say in the rules. So what gets changed or not changed doesn't affect me - but it seems the last time I saw someone ask you to tech your car you threw a fit. (I don't remember which race it was, it may have even been last season...but you get the point)

I feel I had plenty of reason to throw a fit considering my car had already been teched earlier that day, and I was asked to pull the hood after I was strapped in the car setting in the lanes after true street had already ran (as you know xtreme runs directly after true street). We had also already ran a round or two. The main reason I was upset "at the moment" was I didnt want to get in a rush and scratch my paint, it was fresh then. I have never thrown a fit over racing cars that should be running faster than me (although "they" complain) so you would think I would be allowed a little something!! LOL!

I can certainly understand not wanting to scratch new paint, as would most any other racer with a nice car. However, when you cover the field by quite a large margin (.2 or better) you have to expect some backlash. Not to mention you were caught once with the whole tire fiasco - so they do have adequate probable cause to tech you again. Wouldn't that be a fari assumption?

Yes, but not every race, That is why I say that if someone really thinks a car is outside of the rules then let them put up some $$$ not much $50.00 or even $25.00 to see if they are correct.

Any person(s) may ask for a Protest Tech of a single entry suspected of cheating for a fee of $200. If the suspect is found cheating, they will be disqualified from the race and the accuser will be refunded his $200. If the suspect is not found cheating, they will be given $100 to compensate for the inconvenience of the Protest Tech. I copied that off of the Prescott rules section.

Chip, you are missing the whole point. It doesn't have to be a racer to initiate the protest. A comitte member can pick whoever they want to tech. If you are LEGAL, there should be no worries, right?

I am just running out of places to hide the 2nd kit on the chevelle, but at least it takes the attention off my tires. Actually I am just making suggestions, it helps me get on the edge when I am teched.
