Is there anyone out there running a t56 trans in T/S or E/S? If not, has anyone tried and didnt like it for some reason?

Not anyone I know of. Probably the main reason is, if you do it has to be a factory available trans. No Jerichos or Libertys. Do they even make a T56 you can powershift with a 1000+ flywheel horsepower?

There is a company out there that is running one right now with around 1000hp and no issues yet. I dont know if they have pushed it much beyond that like we hope to. We have talked with them and they would like for us to give it a try. I guess it will be trial and error. We dont really want to run a 2sp if we dont have to, it kinda takes the fun out of driving the car.

My only concern would be if it would hold up. Really that guy (in the video)was takin it pretty easy on the trans. I mean he was speedshifting it, but he was backing off a little on the pedal between gears.
If it would take some full throttle shifts I don't see why it wouldn't work. I mean the car in the video is right there in the ball park for T/S judging by the e.t. and m.p.h.
Maybe I'm just used to what happens when I get behind a 4 speed
I love yankin gears.

I agree, we wont be so easy on it. Yankin the gears is half the fun of driving!! I guess we will just have to see what happens. There are a few vipers running in the low 8's high 7's with a t56 but only god knows how much $$ they have tied up in those things.
