Two Questions 1. The All-Pro 245 RR head that is approved for use on the head list, the rules if I'm not mistaken prohibit a spread port head. This casting is a spread port design. There is no other design. Considering some changes to the setup and need some info on this matter. Also, on the Brodix 10x cylinder head, is that strictly limited to the 10x or all variations of the 10x? The specific version I am wondering about is the 10X SP (same as 10x but it is spread port also) 2. Weight issue.I believe according to the rules, there used to be a 100 lb penalty for raised runner heads. Is this new weight break strictly based on cubic inch? So that there is no weight rule for the raised runner design anymore? In other words a 415 with a raised runner head has the same weight break as a standard head....correct? Let me know, Thanks, David |

| Yes RR heads still cary a weight penalty in T/S. The ALL Pro head and the Brodix Head in question have a spresd exhaust port. However they are a 23 degree head and are on the approved list. |

cool....so let me make sure I got this right. Aftermarket block and less than 440 c.i. with a raised runner head, weight would be 3200. Thanks. |

???? When I asked that question early this year, I was told no spreadport exhaust. period. I would have run T/S this year if that weren't the case. Oh well. I also specifically asked about the All Pro 245 RR head as it is easily can be the best head on the list, as in approaching 900 HP naturally aspirated. I spoke to a tech at all pro, and he said that if the head was ever pulled and teched, it would not make the 23 degree rule(even with the +/- 2 degree allowance). He said the head is about 20 degree and they were about $6000.00 bare? All i'm saying is thats alot of money to spent and then find out their not legal after all! |

Just FYI, if anyone is looking for a good deal on the RR 245's You can pick up a set cnc'd with stainless valves and competition valve job from Mike Theroux up in Rhode Island for $3300. If you want Titanium valves they are $4500. Said he would probably do a matching intake package deal for around an extra 500 bucks Cheapest price I have found anywhere. |
