Yep, turned on the bottle and all I heard coming from under the carb was a loud hissing....
Lucky for me, I didn't find this the usual way people find out they got a solenoid leaking.
Can it be rebuilt ?? or is it now a paper weight ?
Also, as long as I'm making a post, can we talk approved heads,....just kidding.....
Out with old, in with the new.

I have yet to find one that couldn't be rebuilt!!!. I think kits from nos are about 20 bucks.

Always spin the motor over a few seconds before switching the ignition on to push out any nitrous that may be in the manifold from a leaking solenoid. Better to find the small leak by with fast idle than lifting the carb!
Even if the solenoid isn't leaking any more, I would rebuild it (replace the seal) before it causes a big problem.
