The rules say the firewall must be in the stock location. Ok, but how much nocthing or modifying
can be done?
My BB engine is cramed against the fire wall so hard the it's difficult to get mid-plate and bolts in the transmission. And the transmission hits the trans tunnel.
I have been told I could change the engine mounts to the bb mounts and that will move the engine forward but it also moves the weight forward. I would also have to change the mid-mount location too. Oh, and the trans x-member.

Any ideas?

Oh and my new Lemmons headers are being built for the set up I have now.

I need more speed!

Do you have bb frame mounts or sb frame mounts? It sound like your's are bb frame mounts.

I have sb frame mounts with sb engine mounts witch sets the engine back almost an in.

I know i used the same mounts for my small bock and big block and have enough room to get the trans bolts out with a socket and have a cap adapt to spread the plug wires out on the cap. Sound like you might just have to get the hammer out to get more room.
