I'm next to positive you can't run a glass dash. The rules clearly state "only stock oem heads may be used" on LS1 motors.

It does suck about the heads, but I've seen these heads flow 330-340 range with the right work done. Just be careful, there awful easy to punch through! Even the pro's with a CNC porting job do it.

And I think you have to weigh more than a conventional small block as well.

the heads im refering to are oem style heads, that are massed produce and sold the trick flo's are not oem but oem 23* style.Motor is finished just need to be sure on the heads before we purchase and port match them. Also other classes want stock apperance dash not aluminum.

Rule #7 states that the LS1 motors, if that is what you are running, must have OEM LS1 heads, no after market heads allowed!
Engines

1. NO sheet metal intakes
2. Single Carburetors, maximum 4150 series
3. Dry Sumps not allowed
4. EFI 90 MM throttle body limit on nitrous assisted cars. 80 MM limit on turbo cars. Horizontal throttle body limited to 4150 style with 1000 CFM maximum
5. No aftermarket big block Chevy tall deck, or aftermarket big block Fords allowed
6. Mid plates allowed.
7. LS1 motors must have stock OEM LS1 heads. Carb intakes allowed.
8. Hybrid cars are allowed with one execption. LSx engines can only be used in a chassis in which they were available OEM.
I hope this helps in your decision?
Like Tangerine Stripes stated, you can get more out of the stock LS1 or LS2 heads than most any 23* heads we are runnig.
I know a guy that can make your stock heads really flow?
P.S. Stock dash, not stock appearing.

Yes, it was revised last year. I'll get on it and get it revised.

I thought it was, but when I looked at the rules, all I saw was the weight break and tire changes, Sorry T2'sLS1, you should be fine, with your decision, I still know a guy that can put a killer port job on a set of the LQ9 heads, I think that is right, and you will be really impressed with the numbers compared to the after market.

I might be wrong, but I dont think the dash can be altered, must be stock.

Ok, I talked to Cedrick and here, once again, is a list of the approved heads. If your head is not listed on this list, then I am sorry but it isn't a legal head. I hope this will help answer any questions. And I did ask Cedrick about the glass dash and it is NOT allowed.

Donna

Also, one more thing - This means that ALL cars will require to have the cylinders pumped to get actual displacement. +/- 1% tolerance.

TTT5 will hold a "play day" at TXR in the near future so the majority of the cars can be done at that time. TTT5 will "pick" the cylinder that is to be pumped. The racer/owner will be responsible for getting the car ready to inspect. I.e.; Remove rockers, plugs, wires etc. This will be done one time and a "seal" will be put on the head to block, intake to block, intake to head - or a combination of the above. If the seal is removed for any reason - i.e. engine failure, head gasket, etc.. the car will need to be re-inspected at the next race.

Also, in 2008 in E/S and T/S a 3 time winner will be required to add 100#.

One more thing, In 2008 - The final round, before the round, all four cars will be teched again. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We STRONGLY encourage each racer to come to the play day for 2008 so that they can get "pre-teched" so that it doesn't have to be done on race day. Although there will undoubtedly be a few to do.
