| What's the best True Street Combo with the rules as they are right now? What do you think it is and why. |

| The one that is winning consistently, at least for right now. 415,421 or 434 small block with a big shot plate |

| I don't just mean engine. I'm talking the whole package. The third and forth gen Camaro and Firebirds make excellent stock suspension race cars and the LS motors are light and strong. The Fox bodied Mustangs are a proven stock suspension performer and the small block Ford engine is second to none in aftermarket parts other than the Small block Chevy. The cal tracs seem to work well on the older leaf sprung cars. So what do you think. I think Procharger F body. I am a Mopar guy but I have a soft spot for the LS1 F bodys having owned 4 of them. |

Any car has the parts available to stand it on the bumper, and put the power to the track. The parts are least expensive for a first gen camaro. Not to say that they still aren't expensive though. Problem you have with the LS1 cars are the cylinder head limitations, as far as what you can run, I think you can only run GM heads on an LS1. I may be wrong on that though. And I'll see your big block, and raise you that a small block will run in the 5.50's this year! |

A Big block car with ladder bars and the drag radials WILL run faster than .50s in 08. BTW: I dont have a big block. I have a Mustang with a turbo that WILL NOT run with the pack with a 76mm. |

| Not sure what the drag radials and ladder bars will bring for true street so im not gonna put an opinion on the '08 season.....but I think with the '07 rules that a stout small block with a speedtech plate in a torque arm car would have been the way to go......Look at wheeler he went some low .70s in the middle of the summer heat. Thats gotta tell ya something! |

Uh, a small block has already gotten into the 50's in 2007 on ET Streets. I seen it with my own 2 eyes. |

| I hear the 275/60 DR is supposed to be a better tire than the 28x11.5 ET Street. If that is the case, then I think the gap will be narrowed between the BB's and the SB's because some of the SB cars the last 2 years had the ET Street pretty much figured out. I don't know that the SB's will pick up that much more on the DR tire. But the BB's probably will pick up if in fact the DR proves to be a better tire. It should be an interesting year for TS in 2008. I thought about stepping down to TS since ladder bars are now allowed and since my car is already at 3450 with Michael driving it. I would only have to add about 60 lbs to the car to make weight. But I decided against it. I guess I'll stay in E/S. I'm doing some upgrades that should at least get me in the lower half of the pack. But I'm still gonna stay with the Speedtech plate, at least for now. Get them cars ready, the 1st race will be here before you know it. |

| Hey, Dad's big block is gonna get bigger too! Seems 468 just wasnt enough cubic inches for the old 55. Dad wants to push it to 500 or more. How you feelin? Didn't know if you could talk on the phone yet. |

I agree, plus their will be a same amount of time figuring the new tire out and finding out what it wants and when it wants it. |
