| Since one of the three classes is moving have you guys thought about a starter class possibly 416 cu in limit 3200 lbs 950 hp holley 275-60 M/T factory block and inline valves. no power adder |

How about a stock suspension, like the e/z class 275/60 with wheelie bars. this class seems to work they just changed there rules. but make the rules tire size 275/60. These cars in s.c. were fast but they changed rules to slow them down. they are usins the tires , turbos,and supercharegers. just remember you are using the tires as a power break not killing the horse power or the excitment. just my idea. and here are there rules.. Class Description EZ Street is a heads-up class designed for street legal cars from a major manufacturer weighing a minimum of 2,800 pounds. Small blocks with NOS two system 2,800lbs / sheet metal intakes 2900 lbs, big blocks nos must weigh 3,200 lbs. two systems only / sheet metal intakes 3300 Turbo cars 3,300 lbs. Big Block Small Block 400 cubic inch and smaller 3,200 LBS true 94 mm tip to tip, no inlets allowed All Blown applications F2 or smaller standard rotation blower 3,300 LBS Big Block small block 400 cubic inch and smaller 3,200 LBS Cars will qualify on a .400 Pro-Tree and eliminations will run on a Pro ladder. Body Stock body lines must be retained. Fiberglass pieces limited to hood and bumpers and deck. Hood scoops allowed but must not protrude above halfway position on windshield. No forward facing hood scoops allowed, unless equipped from factory. Roots stile blower combination Tech will determin legality of hood scoop rulings. All factory glass windows required . Lexan not allowed (Trucks may replace rear window with Lexan for roll bar exit). After market wings allowed maximum length from transition point of deck lid17 inches. Factory grill and headlights required. Complete factory core support and inner fenders required but may be notched for header or roll bar clearance. Stock floor pans required front to rear but may be notched for sub-frame connectors. Wheelbase must remain within factory specs, within /- 1" Interior Full interior required. This includes stock dash and dash pad, , carpet, headliner, door panels and both front seats in stock location. Rear seat is optional only if area under it is carpeted. Dash pad may be notched for roll bar clearance. Nitrous bottles in passenger area are allowed and must have approved safety vent to outside. Front Chassis/Suspension Stock front frame rails and suspension required. After market control arms and bushings allowed as long as they bolt in stock locations. Rack and Pinion steering allowed. After market shocks, bolt in coil overs and after market direct replacement struts allowed, but must bolt in stock location. After market K-members are allowed. Factory sub- frames only. May be notched for clearance. Ride Height Minimum 4 inches in front of front tires. Rear Chassis/Suspension Stock suspension only. Bolt on traction devices only. No ladder bars. No after market 4-links. Coil over shocks allowed. Welded anti-roll devices allowed. Small tubes only. Original frame rails, front & rear, in stock location required. Suspension components must be attached to frame rails in factory manner. Minor notching allowed. Rulings on controversial frame notching will be final and at the discretion of the tech official. Wheelie bars are not allowed. Firewall Stock firewall must be retained and in stock location. Notching for clearance of bell housing, distributor, or supercharger allowed. Smoothing of firewall for appearance is allowed. Engine Any engine combination and power adders allowed. single type power adder only . no alchol allowed A 10 /2" deck height in Chevrolet combo's 1 1 /3" deck height in all Ford combos. All combos must not exceed a maximum of 650 cubic inch limit. One power adder only, for (single supercharger, single turbocharger). Engine must be in stock location. Motor plates and solid mounts allowed. Mufflers required for all cars. Turbo exhaust should be directed toward rear of car. All exhaust must exit to the leading edge of the door. Air-to-air and water-to-air inter coolers permitted, but plumbing must not be visable from level plain of side windows ( I'E plumbing recommended running on floor) . Transmission Any OEM type automatic or manual transmissions allowed. After market heavy-duty cases allowed. Electrical Stock headlights, taillights required and must be functional. Electrical. Bracket racing aids, such as optical sensors, boxes and electrical or pneumatic throttle stops are not allowed. Tires Drag radial only max size 325/50. Max wheel size 12 inches in width. THE RADIAL TIRE SIZE 295 OR BIGGER IS NOT ALLOWED. Lettering/Decals Sponsorship and decals limited to windows hood scoop, front bumper, and rear quarter panels only General Rules Deep staging allowed. Cars must cross scales after every qualifying and elimination pass. Matching uniforms or matching shirts required for crew members to be on starting line. Crew members must leave the starting line and burnout area after each pass. Uniforms Matching uniforms or matching shirts are required to be on the starting line or in the burn box area as a crew member. Crew members must leave the starting line and burnout area after each pass. * Rules may be revised in accordance as need arrives. |

| Obviously this is working over there for them. But if we were to adopt these parameters we would have a complete overhaul of what we have already built. Adopting these parameters would cause more harm than good in the short term which would kill the class. No need to overhaul it. Drag radial tire racing is popular and we have adopted it. Almost every org has their own unique standards and ours are a little more restrictive. What we have is working. It keeps the little man in the game. Let’s leave it alone. Just my 2 cents and MHO. |

| There are plenty of directions to go if a guy wants to move up I think a grassroots class with no power adder, stock suspension, unmodified 950 hp, and so forth. Keep it simple, competitive and as inexpersive as racing can be. |

Have to agree there rules are like our 2 classes. but hey i was just giving my 2 cents. hell we have 2 good classes that are hard enough to deal with. hell just can't wait till race season. |
