For those who may not know - We (TTT5) don't make the schedule, therefor we are at the mercy of the track's schedule when the time comes to create it.
I am sure they are working on it now, Remember, this happens every season. Nothing new...

We'll post up as soon as it's available!

What is the deal with Kennedale not having races almost every month from April to October for TTT5? It doesn't cost them that much does it? They've lost the Promod race in October, alot of bracket racers are POed at them and race for other tracks for points and a mulitple-chance to the bracket finals, and then they start cutting the good races. I guess their Thursday night and Sunday deal is making them money hand over fist...yeah right! They definitely aren't spending much on track prep. I guess they (she) figures it will all take care of itself.

Oh well, it could be worse...I suppose.

I agree! It's a bunch of crap if you ask me. All these cars built with tons of money in then to race TT5 which has primarily been at Kenedale and then we get the rug pulled out partially from that track. Do they really think people want to see some 4.70 INDEX top sportsman cars??? Fans want to see small tire heads up racing!!! I go to that track nearly every Friday when there is an event going on EXCEPT when the top sportsman cars are running.

My father and I have spent over $20K in the past few months to run TTT5 and now we only have 4 races at K-dale our HOME track.

Any word on some other tracks wanting to see some true ten five racing at it's finest?

Personally I think it sucks. We TTT5 racers have been loyal to TXR, very loyal. We come out and race and spectate whenever we can. I think each of us needs to call over there and let them know how we fell about sharing our 3rd Friday with OTS. I'm like Josh, if I wanted to see bracket/index racing, I would go on Saturday and watch bracket/index racing all damn day long. Nobody gives a crap about a 4.70 index class except the people that race in it. I'm going to go to every OTS race and see what kind of crowd they draw verses what kind of crowd we draw and I'll bet a dollar to a donut TTT5 draws a better crowd, any takers?

If you want to contact TXR and let them know how you feel about the 4 race schedule, e-mail the owner at cmcmillan@texasraceway.com. Her name is Cindi. She doesn't take phone calls but she does read her e-mail. Let her hear your voice in this matter in a diplomatic way and lets see if we can let her know how we feel about this and get this changed around.

Found out today that Hutch (previous TXR owner) may well be the new "operator" of Denton and he's talking to Larry Croft about managing. Somebody else, other than Hutch, is the money man. May be a couple of months before they reopen. I hope this is true as it comes from a very reliable source.

Maybe we can get some races there. Larry knows how to manage a track for sure.

Denton Raceway. Guys this may turn out to be a sweet track when all is finished. I had a nice long talk on Friday with Richard, the new owner. He is wanting to make this a racer friendly track. He is renting one of my machines to scrape the entire surface back down to concrete and is going to spray and drag the hell out of the track to get it in top notch shape. I believe they are going to try some test and tune this coming Friday. Once a few good and fast cars have put down some new rubber on the track I think it will be a great surface.

They have also been wanting to pave that old dusty road that runs along side the track. That will help tremendously also! I always thought with the right management behind this track it would be a great place to race. Finally, I think that is in place. Jack is out of the picture and these guys seem truly interested in making this track a great surface to race on. I think most of you guys know how the surface out there used to be.

I'm gonna give it a shot when my car is back up and running, anyone that goes though let's hear some feedback!!! They are wanting to put together a bunch of regularly scheduled programs there as well. I hope that means some 10.5 classes to go along with the King of the Hill show!

Just thought I'd give ya'll the heads up. Oh and it is now going to be called Northstar Dragway.

Yeah, I hope this or these guy(s) do what that need to to make this a topnotch facility. I think quite a few bracket racers will go there if it is and I would especially hope they will give us a place to race.

Let me see if I can answer a question or 2 here. As of a special meeting held Friday night 3/09/07 at Northstar Dragway in Denton, Hutch has nothing to do with this track. He was at this meeting but it was to try to do some business with the track and sell them some merchandise he had, NOTHING more.

As for TTT5 racing there--that is a good possibility now. Our committee member who attending this meeting to represent TTT5 talked to the new owner/manager and they are showing good interest. Cedrick will handle working this out, as he has with all other tracks for us.

As of now, our first race for this year is scheduled for April 20 at TXR.

That is very good news! Hopefully Cedric can work things out with them and we can have another 4 or more races added to the schedule. Thanks to all of you involved in trying to make this happen!

10.5 racing is huge here in the south so hopefully this track will come on board with it.
