Not scared, already have a tune up for a bad track. From Kennedale last week. Just don't like wasting my tires when there is nothing to be learned from it. The car wouldn't even hook on motor after the first pass. If we race at a track that I can't even make my car hook on motor, you'll see me loading my happy fat ass up on the trailer and goin home. I'm not stuffin my car into the wall cause some Jackass is too cheap to prep the track. I'm not like all these squirrels you see that lose a tire and keep on getting back in it. If you lose traction in the eighth mile and see the other guy in front of you. The race is over, plain and simple. Plus you will just piss everybody off if you tag the wall and make a bad track even worse, if something spills out. The only track on the schedule you will have to really adjust for is the motorplex, the track conditions are usually favorable on race night at Kennedale and Northstar. |

Posted By Tangerine_Stripes on 01/19/2008 12:45 PM That's why I built a motor with an aftermarket block and good parts. That's why I put a 2000 h.p. capable Deadenbear cased Glide in it. That's why I spent $900 on a PTC Converter. That's why I put a braced 9 inch with 35 spline Strange axles and spool in it. That's why I still have my ET Streets mounted and ready to go along with the Drag radials.(Too see which one will work the best). That's why I decided to put in the digital 7 programmable. That's why I decided on the Edelbrock nitrous controller
In the words of a certain local racer we all know,"you got a million dollar car...I got swap meet junk" |

Even then, it's hard to stay up with, the only thing that keeps us in it is the love for the sport, you have to spend it somewhere, might as well be racing!!!! |

What's the deal with adding 50#'s to a turbo car in extreme??? That's completely rediculous to continue to add weight when a turbo car has not even ran close to the times some nitrous cars are. I just don't understand the logic with this. First I build a turbo car to run in truestreet and the rules are 3200SB and 3400BB no matter what the combo is and all of a sudden the rules change to 3300 for a turbo combo when my car was coming out without even seeing any ET's. Now this in extreme without seeing better then a .41 from Scott Peirson in COLD perfect weather when Dinkle was running mid .20's. So hypethedically speaking if I magically won three races I would have to weigh 3450???? I already have to add 350#'s of lead as it is. Sure you can say but you can put it where you want but is that really safe? These weights are getting out of hand and a turbo car has not even ran good yet. Can someone please explain why 50 more pounds was added without a turbo car even running in the .30's yet? Add the 50#'s when a turbo car goes .20's or teens, not .40's! |

I'm running out of room to stick all this weight! I already have a stock bumper COMPLETLY full of lead and another 75#'s elsewhere. |

I wish it was bragging, I'm serious. lol Heck the old school cars could run all the lexan and fiberglass parts they want in order to get down to 3200 for all I care. Have you got you a set of drag radials for the car yet? Been a while since I seen you out at the track. |

To anwser you question Josh about 99% of the cars in E/S have to add weight because of the weight for cubic inch requirement. So you are not alone in this matter. As far as the cars being to heavy We would have to disagree with you. For example in NMCA E/S they have to weigh right at 200lbs more and still right run the same times if not faster. We where advised by a very sucessful turbo racer that turbo's dont'reconize weight. The fact is everyone will have to make adjustments, not just you. Adjustments are made to keep parity in both classes. |

Why dont you ask your "very sucessful turbo racer" if he thinks a 76mm will run a 5.60 at 3200.LMAO |

| Why don't you come and race first. In T/S the weight was lowered to 3200lbs and your still not happy. Most cars in this class are 3200lbs and higher. Come out and try before you start to complain. |

I have tried it, and I will be at the first race!! Show me a car with a 76 on it that can run those numbers. Did you ask your turbo guy? Did he laugh at you? Its not like im asking for an 88 or anything. I would like to see at leats 80mm but an 82 would be nice. Call me lets make a deal. |

Come on Chris, that turbo's been that fast on a 10.5 tire, I bet you can get it to go on the drag radials just as fast. I know that mustang will be competetive this year? |
