John, for the records, the dyno numbers on a nitrous car will be VERY different than a turbo car. Mainly due to a completely different torque converter setup.

For example - Tony's car put down 1100 RWHP and eventually ran a 5.5x129.99, 1.46 60' *turbo
Greg's mustang put down 800something RWHP and ran 5.5x128,1.3x 60

Now I do agree 100% Tony's car has some potential left in it judging by the 60' - but the dyno numbers are way different and yet the ET's are still similar. So, it's almost impossible to compare dyno numbers in that respect.

That makes sense! well maybe they'll let a bigger turbo in, I dont like seeing grown men cry!
I like the explaination! The only way a turbo car will be competetive is with a bigger turbo.
I will be happy if my car puts down 800+ to the ground?

I'm helping out Chris in T/S this season, we are giving it a shot as is - with a 76MM. We have a couple of turbos to try out from Majestic - so time will tell.

Now, E/S... not sure on that one.

With T/S on new tires this year and could be some 50's ran this year, their needs to be some seperation between T/S & E/S. With E/S running mainly 40's some 30's and few 20's their is no seperation between the two classes and should open up E/S more with allowing 2 systems back for nitrous and less weight for all cars in E/S. All I hear about is people saying how heavy their cars are this should make alot of racers happy.

Show me one of those cars running in the 4's with a 76MM or a single plate on a cast manifold. (on a 275/60)

a lot of cars are still in old orsca trim like Shane Stack

and the rest of them are running 295/65 mt radial

so all of orsca cras switched to 275/60 and the 352/50 which is still 28 inches tall 11.6 tread

But those are ORSCA EZ Street cars. BIG DIFFERENCE
It's almost like limited, and they run 4.8's.

94mm and an air to water is ok, Up to two nitrous kits are ok, sheet metal manifolds are ok. Small block turbo cars weigh 3200. Heck, small block nitrous cars can weigh 2800, I think, not for sure on that one. They also get to run that monster 325/50 radial!!! That thing looks like a mudder!

Really the only similarity between EZ Street and TTT5 T/S is the stock suspension, and full interior.

Yea but no "SISSY BARS" that is were it matters it takes more power to calm it down on the starting line...

Plus they are now runing 275/60 15 radials this year, just like t/s......or a 325/50 in translation 28 in tall tire...that is the difference maker...last year it was 295/65 like these 29.5/10.5 tires....and most of those cars can not even run the 325/50 tires with out horny catting them...or make them look like braket cars...

the record last year was 4.81 but no more records..all wiped clean when new tire rules and weight came in....

But it is like some other people put it in other places that when you run orsca it is not a "put to the floor and let it rip on the bars like here in texas"......

the rules are sheet metal sigle carbs not dual.....cubic in. limit is 650.....

What’s up Unc hay that pass was 5.41 @ 134.57 the pass that it went 140 was at 3150lb and the 91mm.

Well I'm trying to build enough HP to beat a WTS, that's what's up! lol. On a serious note, I gotta felling with your combo, and a couple more goodies that you probably have already gotten in the off season, you are going to be tough to beat. A 134.57 MPH pass in a nitrous car equates to a 5.30 with a good short time. My guess the same can be done with a turbo car.

I've talked with Scott and I think his main complaint is the same as mine. The weights keep going up on turbo cars (yes I know some nitrous cars where affected as well) and nobody has done anything with one yet. That is the reason you have the 100# weight penalty after three wins right, to keep parity? Just please quit adding weight until you see some results out of a turbo combo. Hell it has taken me almost three years to build my car to extreme street specs and I have already had to buy three differant turbo's and the weight has changed three times and I haven't even raced yet nor has anyone else with a turbo car except Scott and Manny at the last two of the 07' season. I don't think it's the 50#'s so much that's pissing people off, I think it's the constant changing off the rules and weights.

I'm here to race, not bitch so I will let this go but if you value the racers opinions take it for what it's worth to you.

See ya'll at the first race!
