What I am saying is I keep hearing about this board that makes these rulings and decisions and I was just curious. I know on the MCCC each club has representation on the Board. The one Mopar guy competing could be the result of the "Approved Head List". Not much parity there.

Which makes the need for parity for all brands so you don't have a one or two band show. More brands equals more cars. More brands equals more spectators.

The majority of the cars that race in the DFW area are Ford & Chevy. I'm sure if different brands of cars showed up they would be represented on the board.

Would you like to? You might ask them.

The problem is there will never be as many Mopars as Fords or Chevys. And with the approved heads as they are it gives the Mopar racer Big block or small block very little incentive to do a car. The B1 MO heads were made legal in several NMCA classes this year and it is still not as good of a head as the Blue Thunder for the Fords or the Air Fuel Research 357cc head for the BB Chevy. Both of these heads listed are easy over 400 cfm heads. The best head you have listed for the Big block Mopar is about a 375 cfm head ported. That combined with the Mopar will be carrying the whole 3400 as there is no stock block weight break for a Mopar. Heck I'm a Mopar guy and the rules got me thanking about a Chevy.

The W5 Mopar heads were last produced in 1998. The Indy head would be a decent head for the small block and readily available. We are so far behind the curve now we may never catch up, even with a level playing field but at least give us that.

I don't know which NMCA classes you are referring to but we have always had the same head rules as their Extreem Street.
You are allowed Brodix B1-BS (not B1)
Brodix B1(orginal,non-"MC" or "TS")
I hope this helps you. The appoved head list is being updated as we speak.

The B1 original or MO is legal in Extreme Street NMCA and I believe also Pro Stock. If you go by the NMCA approved heads that will help. Thanks!

Two more questions.

1. Can a OEM low deck 383-400 block {Mopar} run at 3300 lbs?

2. Your Amc cars, when you have one show up will they run as a small block or big block?

Aren't AMC motors like Pontiacs? There is no Big or Small Block Pontiac. Just Pontiacs.

The Amc was never offered any larger than a 401. And yes the 304-401 were based off of the same block. If I was assuming I would think small block but I would rather ask.

I am just getting started on a car. It is a 1963 Plymouth Savoy and it will have a 477 ci B1 motor with a Monte Smith plate and a nos controller. Tranny will be a glide with a dana 60. I will be running on the 275-60-15 M/T radials as I will be running in the True Street class. Good luck with your car. Andy should step up a little this year as the B1 heads are legal in his class this year and they are a step up from the Indy 440-1 he has been running in my opinion.

I guess everything is going good NOS is keeping him busy and he is plumbing a lot of foggers in his spare time. He has pretty much made a full recovery from what I can see.
