The word on the street is that on October 21, 2007 , the Extreme Street class has been added to the program at HMP in Houston . The same rules apply !!!! So get a hold of Kyle or his closes buddy The Chipster to see if this is true.... So we all can know and get our hotrods ready for this race.

sorry charles, my information says that it will be a outlaw stock suspension class. in a nutshell, stock suspension, coilovers ok, wheelie bars ok, 2900 lbs small block , 3200lbs big block, one fogger or one single stage plate. i'm gonna call kyle and see if i can talk him into letting ladder bar cars in. but don't hold your breath.

Yep, that's what I was told. I guess they think a ladder bar car has an advantage over todays stock suspension cars. NOT. Too bad because they are cutting out a bunch of cars that would come play.

Hey Dinkle, I'm sorry. The race is suppose to be at HRP. Now from what I heard the class is suppose to Extreme Street. So I guess we'll have to wait till they post it to see what exactly whats going on. Because we are not gonna run in any other Outlaw classes with our small motor. We wont be able to keep up. But if you hear anything different please let us know. Thanks.

there is a true ten five race at temple on the 4th, why don't you come down and play?
the track is not as good as denton or kennedale, but it's not as bad as people would have you believe. i can run mid 30s there and flores has been low 20s on two kits.

So you spent money to switch from stock suspension to ladder bars because there is no advantage?

I think he means that a ladder bar car has no advantage over say maybe a factory 4 link mustang or factory torque arm car!

If I had a Mustang, or any factory 4-link car, I would stay with stock suspension because the factory 4-link stock suspension works as good as any ladder bar setup and probably better IMO. But, I had a leafspring setup. My springs were shot and both my shocks were bent. We put a backbrace on the rearend and the shocks were too close to the brace. When the rearend torqued, it bent the shock arms on my QA1 double ajustable shocks. I figured I would go ladder bar because I was going to have to replace the shocks and leafsprings anyway and the cost was about the same. Plus, at that time, FSTA was pretty much dead in the water and with no stock suspension 10.5 inch tire races going on around here, I figured why not.
