I would like to set a few things stright and I figure if I do it on here you will have to give a straight answer.

If you make a qualifying run you get put on the lader? YES OR NO?
If you make a qualifying run and you brake in the first or second round of qualifying do you get put on the lader? Yes OR NO?

I have not been racing all that long but we have been racing in TTT5 for 4 years now and I want this to be clear for everyone. Here is some food for thought.

If you make a pass in qualifying and you break your car (first of second round) and you don't get put on the lader then who do you give lane choice to. Theoretically both people now racing each other won and should be racing a comp bi run. It should not go off the faster of the two pair in this instance cause they are really not even supposed to be racing each other.

If you have 8 people that qualify and 3 of them break their cars, do those people go home with qualifying money, but yet they don't get put on the lader? When thy don't get put on the lader do they get their points for where they qualified at. (higher you qualify the more points you recieve for the year)

Racing is not just about who has the faster car. It is also about stratigy. Where you qualified, who you run, how fast they are and if you need to bring everything you got to the table. You guys that have been racing for years now know this to be true. I asked alot of the committee members the last race about this and they all said if you make a pass in qualifying they you go on the lader. 2 people that broke didn't go on the lader and 1 person that did break stayed on the lader, thus giving a bi run out for only 1 person instead of 3. I know the spectators come to watch side by side racing but if that is not how the rules state then so what. 3 bi runs are the same as 1 bi run. Each bi run is still running their ass off to get lane choice.

Well for the record those cars could not make the call. The Track at first did not want to run T/S because it was no t a full field. However they thought everyone did give it a great effort and decided to run the the class. If you noticed they made a full payout. They could have easily said we will only pay winner. But after talking to Nick and Larry they again stepped up and did right by the racers.
An as for the bi run the track was not aware that another car was broke. All six cars on the ladder made both passes. This is not a perfect world and the track could have scratched the entire class. Hopefully this problem will not happen again. But if it does the committee will do its's best to work out what's in the best interest of the track and the organization. An if not we will be glad to let you tell the racers they will not be racing.

You missed the point entirely and this is why the problem exists. Instead of fixing the problem you focuse on how lucky we were to even be racing. It was the blind leading the blind and no leadership to be found anywhere. If you fail to qualify regardless of the reason why would you expect to get paid? If you fail to quaify why would you expect to be awarded points? Are you going to use a sportsmans ladder or a pro ladder? You can't use both, it's one or the other. You can't turn your back and expect it to go away, fix it and be fair that's all we ask.

Sir, you WERE lucky to be racing. Aren't you the man that went over to Cedric's pit and cussed and disrespected him in front of his 11 year old son? We did the best with what we had under the circumstances. I personally think the right decision was made as far as the ladder. I really don't understand the argument here. There were 8 cars that entered. 2 of them broke in qualifying and a 3rd one couldn't make it to the scales AFTER the ladder was set in elimination for the 1st round. So it had to be adjusted, PERIOD! That means there were only 5 cars for eliminations. Most tracks would have given you your money back and said go home. But Denton didn't do that. They honored the class and made the full payout for the five cars that made it to the starting line. What else do you freeking want? Did you not get full payout for runner-up money? TTT5 and the track did the best that could be done under the circumstances. Dead subject, peace out! Go work on your car and make it faster!
