"LSX motors only allowed in cars that came from the factory OEM equipped with LSX motors."

WHY?

I seen Chris Frank get over 400 cfm out of a stock casting LS head, dont believe it, give him a call at RayMac Racing. LS motors make alot of power when done right, i've seen them on dyno's and in cars running, plus those cars have better suspensions than my old 69 ever thought of. LOL

Well I have an LS1(solid roller 412 with Dart heads).....It has heads on it that were ported by TEA by one of the guys you have working at Raymac now. I don't think Raymac has made as much power with a LS1 as I have??????? My LS1 runs 111mph on motor and 137mph on the hose. I know about these cars. I have the fastest nitrous LS1 in Texas I do believe. Either way it is not suited for TTT5 cause of the sheetmetal intake. OVER 3Klbs.

Any confusion, these are 2 different cars I am referring to. I thought the rules were alittle off and I am glad we got them all taken care of. We have stock casted 317s on the car so we are still same weight. With that in mind, be careful boys.....the LS1 is coming to pull some wins out this year.

I can't wait, I know those LS motor can run, should be interesting this year for sure!

New to the site so please take it easy on me.

We are building a 93 Trans Am,and had planned on using a LSX motor. My question is can we? The LS motor did not come in the 4th gen till 98. Is it year model or can we run a LSX motor in any year 4th gen? We had panned on running in the EX/ST class and hope to be testing by the end of the year and competing next year.

Thanks

Hmmm, bodystyle yes, year model no. I'd say hang a 98 up nose on it and let er rip. But I don't make the rules. I'd be willing to bet it's going to be a yes, since only sheet metal is the difference. But wait to see what Cedric and the guys say.

JUST MAKE SURE YOU GUYS READ THE RULES. IN TRUE STREET ONLY FACTORY STYLE LS STYLE HEADS ARE ALLOWED. 15 DEGREE MIN. NO 12 DERGREE HEADS ALLOWED.

TTT5

Would like to see LS allowed in all year models. What is the reasoning behind the current rule?

so we are allowed to run LSX in the 93 in extreme street with no problems. But we will have to change the front end for true street? Also, It looks as if we can use whatever we want in extreme street as far as valve angle on the lsx? I have read the rules for both a few times and think i have a handle on it now. We are looking forward to competeing with you guys.

Front end was just an idea, I don't know the way they want to enforce this one. Like I said, see if you can get a hold of Brookes or Cedric or somebody, cause I'd be willing to bet as long as it's the same bodystyle they would allow it.

In Extreme Street you can run an LSX motor in anything. Heck, we got Mustangs with BBC in Extreme Street.
