I have, personally the I like the ET Streets better so far. Some of the guys like the Drag radials. But to me the ET Street has proven itself to be a much more consistent and predictable tire. However the stiff sidewall does make the car steer like it's on rails. It just doesn't hook as predictably, in my opinion.

David, you haven't tested the ET Streets with the new motor combo, have you???? I'd be curious to see how they hold up with the same settings!

Not with nitrous no, but I will say this the car doesn't move around at all as long as it's hooking with the drag radials. But I've never had a problem hooking the car on motor with the ET Streets either. I have had that problem at Denton with the radials though.

I can see how the drag redials would handle better with the stiffer sidewall!

Ok, I still have a little more testing to do. But, I think I can give a definite answer now. With the et streets, the 60 ft numbers take a dive dramatically. Overall performance doesn't falter that much but the 60 ft's do suffer.

I talked to M/T about this and they confirmed my opinion on the deal. The time that is spent wrinkling up the sidewall to hook the car is all gained back with a drag radial. The Radial provides instant hook with the stiff sidewall. Whereas you have to wait on the tread to catch the sidewall with a conventional type drag tire.

Also, my m.p.h. seems to drop a little with the drag radials. M/T also said this was correct, since the sidewall will not grow on a drag radial. In fact they said expect in the 1/4 to sometimes lose as much as 5 mph. In the 1/8 they said 1 or 2 m.p.h. loss is common.

So, all in all I think the cars will definitely be quicker with the drag radial. I do know now that we are all going to have to change our burnout routine a little. No big burnouts with the radial. Unless you want to blow them off the car when you launch. It seems they will only take a certain amount of heat before they get greasy.

Hope this helps in your decision.

Well it's about what I expected to hear. Used to do alot of street tire racing then went to slicks, found almost the samething with that tire change.

Thanks for the info.
