Also, one more thing - This means that ALL cars will require to have the cylinders pumped to get actual displacement. +/- 1% tolerance.

TTT5 will hold a "play day" at TXR in the near future so the majority of the cars can be done at that time. TTT5 will "pick" the cylinder that is to be pumped. The racer/owner will be responsible for getting the car ready to inspect. I.e.; Remove rockers, plugs, wires etc. This will be done one time and a "seal" will be put on the head to block, intake to block, intake to head - or a combination of the above. If the seal is removed for any reason - i.e. engine failure, head gasket, etc.. the car will need to be re-inspected at the next race.

Also, in 2008 in E/S and T/S a 3 time winner will be required to add 100#.

One more thing, In 2008 - The final round, before the round, all four cars will be teched again. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We STRONGLY encourage each racer to come to the play day for 2008 so that they can get "pre-teched" so that it doesn't have to be done on race day. Although there will undoubtedly be a few to do.

I think this covers it, but I might have a detail or two that needs to be changed.

TTT5 said that you used the MNCA Extreme Street head list. You are missing some of the new for 2008 heads. I just don't want to have any new Racer looking for a place to race become discouraged after looking at the list and not pursuing this series. Thanks Danny

Just to let everyone know, the reason we went with a certain weight base on cubic inches is in and effort to maintain parity. As well eliminate a penalty for different engine blocks.
This was not a knee jerk reaction. The committee talked about this matter since the end of the season. This is what we felt was best for the oganization.
An to clarify in E/S CFE 405 or equivalent carry a 100lbs penalty .
18 degree BBC conventional head oval port or equivalent carry a 100lbs penalty.
CFE Pro king headed motors will run at 3200lbs.
Turbos will be limited to conventional style heads.
Maxiun cubic inch in E/S is 632ci.
T/S maxium cubic inch is 588ci.
Also remember the following heads are not allowed in T/S. CFE 405 or equivalent,18 degree BBC conventional heads,18 degree sbc heads, CFE Pro King or equivalent. There are several others but this was just a reminder. make sure you checked the approved head list .Aluminum blocks are not alloweed in T/S unless it came as oem eqipment. All list will be updated in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for your support.

Looks like you guys need to go head and make out all the checks to John Flores since his motor is just a little over 440 and you want be able to see it with a gauge. An Also since he is the only one South of Waco that will not have to add wait from last year.

then why would you penalize someone who does their homework and wins three races when they play by the rules put into place by the committee?
let's look at last years quallifying sheets and last years ladders.
i won three races and went to the finals in the other three.
i quallified in the #1 spot one time and was usually in the 3 or 4 spot.
the car was very consistant durring eliminations, so it's not like i was sandbagging.
if i had a performance advantage over the rest of the top half of the field why would i have lost three finals? shouldn't i be able to just turn it up in the finals?
i'm not saying i will have the same luck this year as last year,(i probably won't win any since i will have to weigh 200 pounds more than last year) but i think it extremly unfair to add weight to a car that wins three races if the rules are fair to begin with.

If the rules are "fair enough" and you win 3 races... well it would depend on who you ask whether or not they are "fair enough" wouldn't it?

The rules are not made to punish anyone, they are to keep parity. It is better for the organization to go by cubic inches than a visual inspection. With the various combonations avaiable it is easier to police using this method. We know this will not make everyone happy however this is in the best interest of the TTT5.
As far as the additional weight for winning three races in a season, T/S has had this rule in place for the past two seasons. Based on the rusults from T/S we felt it was needed in E/S This rule is also enforced in other racing organizations similar to ours. Just remember guys/girls it's not what's best for me but what is best for the organization.

Are Victor heads allowed in T/S on a SBF? If TFS-R and AFR 225s are then whats the problem?

I am glad you clarified the CFE 405 or Equivalent.. makes sense to me now.. I like the Cubic inch vs weight rule as well. The win three race rule "not so much" but understand why..

WE will also be checking valve angle to make sure everyone is within the rules. As it stands right now you will be allowed +/- 2 degrees from orginal casting.
