Who would have thought a True Street car was capable of going 5.60’s or an Extreme Street car going 5.20”s. Technology is a wonderful thing. These things have been accomplished with out sacrificing the integrity of the Class/Organization. Our original mission was to establish a racing organization for the average person could come and race. While maintaining parity, involving family & friends and having fun. With this being said we realize that everyone is not going to be happy. We as racers need to remember the decisions being made are in the best interest of the organization. In Extreme Street the question has come up about the use of a fiberglass dash. Extreme Street already allows lexan , fiberglass fenders or doors. In the best interest of the class a fiberglass dash will not be allowed. This is in an effort to maintain the integrity of the class. Before anyone complains just remember NMCA (Pro Street & Super Street). These were two of the most popular classes in heads up racing. One of the reasons is that the average person could relate to seeing old school muscle cars racing. However before long and with the absence of some rules being enforced those classes started to resemble promods. Everyone always say’s that this will not happen to us/me, but it does. In a perfect world we would not need rules or limits. Look around you the world is not perfect so let’s make the best of it and have some fun in the process. Remember it’s not what’s best for me but what’s best for the organization. The rules page will be updated in the upcoming weeks.
